Nurses Strike Begins!

More than 7,000 nurses at Mount Sinai Medical Center and Montefiore Medical Center have begun the largest nursing strike in decades. Their core demand is enforcement of staffing ratios. One nurse is sometimes responsible for 20 or more patients. The striking nurses want safe working conditions for themselves and their patients. Here’s information about their picketing schedule for anyone who wants to show up and support them.
