The New School is now occupied! Students and faculty are now occupying the New School’s University Center, and many plan to sleep there tonight to continue putting pressure on the University to offer a fair contract to adjunct workers (who make up almost 90% of the New School’s teaching faculty).

The administration has made an offer to the union. They say that they are prepared to accept ALL of the striking workers’ compensation demands. This is exciting, but the strike isn’t over until the union agrees to a contract. Onward!
