Internationalism in the Labor Movement

March 31, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm

For the last 2 years, the question of solidarity with Palestine has become an extremely controversial one in American unions. Last year, the PSC Delegate Assembly passed a resolution in support of the Palestinian people, which has led to a great deal of conversation about how we, as labor activists, can support struggles abroad.

This semester, in line with the resolution, the PSC-Graduate Center Political Education Subcommittee will host two meetings on solidarity with Palestine. The first of these, focusing on internationalism in the labor movement, will take place on Thursday March 31, at 12.00pm EST. We have invited Lisa Milos of UPTE-CWA 9119 Local 7, the PSC International Committee’s Corinna Mullin, and Lawrence Johnson of the PSC’s Anti-Racism Committee to discuss the history of labor internationalism, the state of it today, and the role of Palestinian solidarity in the American labor movement.

Please register to attend.
