Show up to support City College composition teachers and to protest the recent decision by their provost to change composition from a 4-credit to a 3-credit class, a decision which essentially constitutes a 20% pay cut for adjuncts and a 33% workload increase for lecturers. We will no doubt see similar measures at other campuses as administrators seek to implement their “savings plans” (budget cuts). Let’s put an end to this before it starts!
