Rutgers Tentative Agreement

The Rutgers strike ended a couple of weeks ago and the unions have reached a Tentative Agreement with the Administration. Voting was scheduled to end yesterday, May 1. We will see if union members decide to accept this agreement or keep fighting for more. Some highlights of the agreement: 1) the minimum salary for graduate workers would be $34,678, going up to $40,000 by year 4 of the contract. 2) Adjuncts would make a minimum of $7,530 per 3-credit class, going up to $8,331 by year 4 of the contract.

Whatever Rutgers workers decide, CUNY PSC members stand in solidarity with our public education comrades across the river. Their fight has been inspiring.
