Welcome, all, to the last day of our existing contract with CUNY. Yesterday morning’s Rally for a People’s CUNY drew hundreds of people to CUNY Central where we made some noise and showed our capacity to turn out (even at 7:30 am!). We were happy to see so many RAFA (Rank and File Action) members there fighting for a more militant and democratic union.

The rally was followed by bagels and coffee at the People’s Pantry in the GC’s dining commons.

We also set up a counter to indicate the number of days we are working without a contract. Yesterday was day -1, today is day 0, and tomorrow will be day 1.
